This policy explains what data Cotree LLC (“Cotree”, “we”) collects when you use cotreeiq.com and its services, why, how we protect it, and what your rights are. By using the site you agree to what is described here.
Who we are
The controller of your data is Cotree LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of Iowa, USA, at 6701 Corporate Dr Ste N, Johnston, IA 50131, USA. For privacy matters write to info@cotreeiq.com.
What we collect
What you send us: when you book a consultation we ask for your name, phone number, preferred channel (WhatsApp or Google Meet) and notes. When you request a project we also ask for your email, a project description, an approximate budget and timeline, and any files you attach. When you chat with the team we store the message text and the page it was sent from.
What is stored in your browser: your language and, only after you accept, the id of your chat with the team and the position of your seed in the garden, so they are there when you return. We use no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking.
Technical data: our hosting provider (Google Firebase) records the IP address, browser type and time of each request in its logs for security and operations, and Firebase App Check (Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise) verifies that requests come from a real browser to protect against abuse.
Why we use it
To answer your request and provide the consultation or quote, to communicate with you about your project, to run and secure the site against abuse, and to meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your data and do not share it for marketing.
Where it is stored and who can see it
Data is stored in Google Firebase services (Cloud Firestore and Cloud Storage) on Google Cloud servers. Only authorised Cotree staff, each within their permissions, access it to handle your request. We may share what is necessary with service providers acting on our behalf (hosting, email, security verification) under agreements that bind them to protect the data, or with authorities where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep booking requests, project requests and chats for as long as needed to serve you and for business records, and delete or anonymise them on request unless the law requires us to keep them. What is stored in your browser stays until you clear it or choose “essential only”.
Your rights
You may access and correct your data, ask us to delete it, object to its processing, and withdraw your consent to browser storage at any time. Send your request to info@cotreeiq.com and we will reply within 30 days.
Children
Our services are aimed at business owners and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you learn that a child has sent us data, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time; the date of the last update is shown at the top of the page, and material changes are announced on the site.
